It's your choice! Pick (a) completely private sessions at our Westcott office, (b) meet Ellen at the River Oaks gym -- 1937 W. Gray, # 200, 77019 (above the Musee carpet business, between Pier One and the Men's Wearhouse -- Key Map 492 R), or (c) Ellen can meet you at your home or condo gym or pool! For private sessions at the Westcott office, we have strength training equipment, free weights, med and exercise balls, and a recumbent bicycle for your warm up/cool down.   Special areas of training include: (1) Strength training with equipment, large exerballs, and free weights, (2) Pilates Mat and Core strength training, (3) Flexibility training, (4) Aquatic exercise at your pool, and (5) Golf conditioning training (not golf swing lessons, but we do know some PGA professionals)! Click for testimonials

Pick your Personal Training interest:

1. Regular training -- Two or three workouts per week. Ellen will be your primary workout source.

2. Motivation training -- Workout with Ellen every 7 to 10 days; she'll instruct you on proper exercise form and help keep you motivated in between private workouts.

3. Personalized workout program -- Ellen evaluate you every 3 to 4 weeks, giving you a personalized exercise program you can do on your own.

Ellen has been running since 1978, and completed her first 26.2 mile marathon in 1991. Since then she has run three marathons, and four ultra marathons. She is a member of the Al Lawrence running club and the Houston Area Road Runners Association. In 2000, Ellen began to focus on competing in shorter distances (5K to 10K), and with instruction from Tom Tellez (former University of Houston Coach), Ellen has been winning age group awards -- but we're not saying which age group!

Ellen began organized strength training at the urging of her friend, Carl Lewis. Carl mentions her on page 32 and 33 of his book, "One More Victory Lap." (1996) Ellen continues to use the services of a personal trainer to enhance her own workouts. Ellen is certified as a personal trainer by ACE (the American Council on Exercise), and P.F.I.T. in association with the American College of Integrative Medicine. She is also certified as a Pilates Mat instructor by Powerhouse Pilates, and certified by the International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA)) as a Sports Conditioning Specialist, and by the IFPA as a Golf Conditioning Specialist. Ellen is also a member of Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA).

Ellen's personal workouts include running, bicycle spinning, strength training and pilates at the Bryan Peters studio. You might see Ellen practicing at the Memorial Park Golf driving range! She is a lifetime member of Weight Watchers.

 Personal Training Rates:

Forms of payment: Checks, cash, MasterCard/Visa, Discover, American Express


Individual training sessions:  (Package rates available)

Individual 60 minute workout,   $60.
Individual 30 minute workout,   $40.


Once monthly individual training schedule (includes 30 min. private instruction): $70--client needs to have completed an initial session, evaluation and case history.

In home and out call rates available upon request.

Personal training appointments require 24 hours notice to avoid cancellation fee.
